I love llamas (I have 10 of them and 3 alpacas!) and I love knitting. So I've called myself The Knitting Llama and created this blog to share patterns and knitting experiences.
No, I've decided I'm going to be the Knitting Llama after all. Never mind the similarity to another name! 2010 will see plenty of action on this site. Keep coming back!
Oh dear, not a good start. I've just discovered that there's another Knitting Llama (without the 'the') who has a blog. I hope we can co-exist peacefully like my llamas do, most of the time anyway! And there I was thinking that I'd thought of a very witty, original name for my blog.
Happy New Year! And Happy New Blog to me. I've wanted to create my own knitting blog for a long time and have finally plucked up the nerve. I'm in the early stages of designing it so bear with me for a few days as I find my way around.
I'm Stephanie, wife to Chris, and mum to Benj 18, Caiti 15 and Ruadhri 8. I was born in Ipswich, UK, lived a long time in Cork, Ireland and now live in France where we run a tourist business combining a gite, carp fishery and llama trekking. I used to be a children's author in Ireland, with more than 30 books under my belt, and other careers include accounting and editing. I've knitted for as long as I can remember, and still love it!
